I want to thank all those that made this Xfest cleanup a huge success. After a late start, everyone worked really hard ending in a record breaking early finish. It is always encouraging to see such a good turn out of Band and Color Guard (parents and director also). The Beyer Band and Color Guard attitude was strongly felt and appreciated. This is not one of those totally self serving type of fund raisers but also one that gives back to the community and demonstrates to the community the dedication, commitment, and high standards that Beyer Color Guard and Band have been known for over the years. This type of commitment and dedication will undoubtedly lead to another successful year for both Band and Color Guard.

A special thanks to Robin Garcia for the hours she spent organizing and emailing in preparation for this event and David Saaty who joined her at the meetings and lent his experience from past events.

Once again, a big thanks for those that walked the miles of city sidewalks & parking lots (they only get a cleaning like this once a year!), the Moms that kept everyone together (and picked up), the Dads that donned the backpack blowers, the garbage can patrol (try picking up and emptying 100 very full garbage cans!) and all those keen eyed picker uppers. It is always so much easier and fun when more people join in to get it done.

I encourage those parents that couldn’t make this event to join in on future events. Encourage your kids. It’s not only fun but it also allows a chance to witness their hard work that culminates into all those outstanding performances.

Thank you,

Jeff States
